First, I paint this rainbow colors using primary colors and let it dry.
Then I mix the primary colors to make a darker color
and I paint this dark color over my rainbow painting!
And then I etch my design over the dark color while it is wet . . .
I have to work fast before the dark color gets dry
and I won't be able to show my rainbow colors underneath!
